About Laurel
Paint Brush Wielding Montana Mama
Hailing from the high desert of beautiful Southwestern Colorado, Laurel Hatch developed a relationship with Western imagery at an early age. Surrounded by vibrant color and influenced by a regionally defined art community that fuses (and celebrates) American Indian and Mexican history with Cowboy culture. Her work incorporates subject matter that visually seduces the viewer, using high contrast and unusual color choices to construct imagery. Her unique blend of modern style and traditional iconography has created a significant following among contemporary American western art collectors. Laurel’s work is held in both private and public collections stateside and abroad. Laurel, her husband and two daughters live in Bozeman, Montana.
